Chris, 36, paddled out to the predator to show it is not the threat portrayed in the famous Jaws movies.

Sharks have been said to mistake the shape of paddling surfers for turtles on the surface, but Chris insisted: "The chance of a Great White simply rushing in and attacking a human is very remote."

Chris runs shark-spotting trips off Cape Town, South Africa.

At least customers can see he's a well balanced sort of guy...
