'The Mourning Portrait' mail interview

Wentworth Miller will star in the new Paul Schattel, movie The Mourning Portrait. He will play a photographer in a very scary story. We are lucky! We managed to get in touch with one of the movie producers, Stephen M. Corbin, and ask him a few questions about production, directing and, of course, about Wentworth Miller in order to satisfy all the fans of the Pretty.
Stephen M. Corbin was kind enough to answer us. For now, he is only allowed to provide the public and their fans with some information through Facebook, IMDB and other websites connected to the movie business. So this is a Wentworth Miller The Hot Line Website exclusive :

WMTHL: Where will you be shooting ?
Stephen Corbin: The film will be shot on location in and around the Mountains of Western North Carolina. The plan now is to shoot the film as soon as is practical for us (although a firm date has not been decided as of this writing). As you can appreciate there are a multitude of careful detail's and planning that need to be worked out in advance before beginning principle photography.

WMTHL: Have you done some research for the costumes ? What are you going on, movies, books, museums ?
Stephen Corbin: It is a period piece to it's bones. Circa 1920 Appalachia and much research has and is being done to make it as authentic as possible. We are very proud to say that we have some of the best craftsperson's and talent in the Motion Picture Industry working today, attached to our film.

WMTHL: Will you be a huge or a small team ?
Stephen Corbin: Make no mistake, Wentworth Miller is playing a significant role in our movie and as such we are so glad to have someone of his great talent as part of our ensemble of great actor's.
As you know we also have the great Diane Ladd ('Chinatown', 'Wild At Heart') and Melissa Leo ('Frozen River', 'Everybody's Fine') and Garret Dillahunt ('No Country For Old Men', 'The Assassination Of Jesse James By the coward Robert Ford') playing the principle roles, with more yet to be announced. We have assembled an amazing Cast thus far.

WMTHL: Will you be using 35mm scope Panavision, HD type Red-one or Genesis cameras ?
Stephen Corbin: The film will be shot on 35mm Panavision or equivalent, using several camera's.

WMTHL: Will there be some stunts that will need double for Mr. Wentworth Miller ?
Stephen Corbin: There will be stunt doubles as needed for Mr. Miller & others.

WMTHL: How long will the shooting last ?
Stephen Corbin: The shooting will last approx. 30 days on location & on Stage as required.

WMTHL: Will there be some numeral or makeup visual effects?
Stephen Corbin: There will be some special MUFX used, although I cannot elaborate on what type.

WMTHL: Will it be a theater movie or a TV-movie? Do you hope to have it released outside the USA ?
Stephen Corbin: This is an independent feature film, not a TV movie. The film will be available here in the States and also in many foreign Countries, hopefully within a year upon it's completion.

We hope that these few questions clear you up on Wentworth's appearance in this movie which turns out to be incredible thanks to the quality of the script and its casting.

Finaly, we want to thank all the production team, and particularly Mr. Stephen Corbin for his availability and his kindness towards the fans. Thank you so much Stephen, we appreciate it.

A (yet another) new movie for Went??

Aloe Entertainment announces that the global search was on for “Mary” in MARY MOTHER OF CHRIST, as fierce competition heated up around the world among both well-known and unknown actresses.

Online PR News – 11-March-2010 – Camilla Belle (’10,000 BC’, Push) was chosen for the coveted role. The film also stars Academy Award winner Al Pacino (The Godfather, Scarface) as Herod, Golden Globe winner Peter O’Toole (Lawrence of Arabia) as Symeon, Wentworth Miller (Prison Break, Underworld) as Gabriel / Lucifer, Julia Ormand (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Diogo Morgado as Joseph. “This is not a Christmas movie,” says producer Mary Aloe (Battle in Seattle, Numb, The Princess and the Marine). “This is a part of Mary’s life that has never been shown on the big screen before. It takes us through Mary’s youth, young love, her life as a new mother, and the triumph through the absolute terror of Herod the Great’s reign. It is truly a story of real female empowerment.”

Key members of the creative team from The Passion of the Christ come together, including the writer, technical script advisor, costume designer, PR and marketing team. The picture is directed by award winning director James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Perfect Stranger). Carla Hool (Apocalypto, Man on Fire) and associates have been at the helm of casting. Other producers are executive producers Mauricio Sanchez, James Volk, and Alfred Zaccagnino (Keeper of the Pinstripes). Aloe’s production partner is Dune Films (Hildago, Prince of Persia, Babel) in Morocco where the film starts principal photography in May.

The film will be distributed in 2,000 plus theaters with a 2011 release date. “We are looking forward to releasing a film that will lift spirits and inspire,” commented Erik Lomis, Executive Vice President International Theatrical and Home Video, MGM.

In developing the official website, Aloe is working with a cutting edge, live HD portal patent company, with a full screen web streaming capability that has not yet launched publicly. This technology provides live stream progress/behind the scenes content and live streaming of faith based events worldwide. The portal will be donating generous portions of the e-commerce model to organizations and provide a virtual social network for those interested in the film/faith based communities.
